Building on his lifelong passion for music, Ian has presented a music programme in his student radio days including interviews with bands (download his demo - 6min (5.4MB) and 3min (3.4MB) MP3 versions) and he continues to DJ at parties and occasions. He also produced a brooding ultramodern soundtrack for his play Haze and has continued to work with music in his sound production and radio work (including contributing to a BBC Radio 1 Playlist meeting). He favours an invigorating, surprising and enjoyable mix of old and new music, blending rock, dance and pop to his audience's tastes.

Building on his wideranging audio and radio production work, Ian is looking to expand further into music production. His flexible skills allow him to help out as required in the music industry, and can he offer assistance on a creative level to artists - offering his balance of enthusiasm, imagination, perceptive critical analysis, and a professional's eye for songwriting.

As well as access across the West Midlands from his Central Birmingham home, Ian has a car and ready accommodation in London, Leeds, Nottingham, Hampshire and Cambridge, so is able to pick up work across large areas of England at short notice.
